Yes, becasue if it ever came back on you that you told it, that friend would probably never trust you again or you could probably loose a friend. You have to think of two things, is it worth loosing your friend over some juicy news or what if you had something to tell her and she told everybody. Plus, is it really anyone eles bussiness about this secret? Good Luck!

yup, I've never told a secret and don't plan on telling any in the future. I know how it feels to have secrets...and how it feels to have them revealed. I wouldn't want to make anyone feel that way. If someone tells me a secret I don't tell ANYONE. Even if its a cousin of mine who lives 3 states away and doesn't even know the person...it just feels wrong to me. Trust is what holds friendships together, why would I want to break that for anything? If it comes to mind and its hard not to say it to someone, change the subject and forget about it.

Yes, I have one right now. But once I had a horrible secret that my brother told me to never reveil to my other brother and it ended up biting me in the kester in the long run. Turns out my middle brother told my older brother the secret and first thing that he says is...."well, our sister knew" My older brother was mad at me for not telling him in the beginning. He said I betrayed him because I knew important information that I didnt tell him. I told my older brother that the middle brother told me not to tell. Shesh, talk about a turnaround. So, either way, dont ask anyone to keep a secret.... just keep it to yourself.

Yes I would. There is a reason she/he trusted me and is still keeping it a secret from everyone else. I should respect that.

Yes. It'll also mean a lot because they trust me so much to tell me. Letting a petty issue breakup a friendship is bogus.
