No, you need an external device. If you live in the Stone Age, you can get a VCR. If not, I would recommend a good DVD recorder, or, even better, a nice DVR such as a TiVo. I have a DVR, and it's the best.

With Tivo and DirectTV you can go to the shows you arae going to miss and press record and they will automatically be recorded

All you need is either a Tivo or DVD/VHS recorder.

If you have TIVO then yes. Otherwise you need a DVR or a VCR.
