Both the price and the quality have to be regulated in consideration with the economy of the country. When the product is manufactured in India, the cost of the ingredients+the cost of the labour+administrative and advertising expenses+the percentage of profit not exceeding fifty percent - shound be the aerage cost of the product. Vigorous checks of the quality of the product should be devised. If these things have to be achieved, our administrators should have political will which is out of view because our leaders are interested in collecting election fund from the business and industrial tycoons.

I don't think anyone regulates the sale of certain foods and restaurants in Canada, the prices for meat for example are just outrages for me to think other Countries should be regulated well, I scratch my head that I would begin in my back yard first.

In our computer class we did a costing on our expenses, charted it out and food was the majority's biggest expenses in class.

Furthermore, we pay a high price on certain retaurant foods in Canada. I will make an example of my spouse works in Africa, he will not eat ethnic foods at all. I always thought it was cheap to live in Africa but he eats Canadian food there.

Have you ever heard the laws of supply and demand in Economics. When the demand is high, the prices are high and when the demand is low, than the prices are low and could further on pertain to products, services, industry many times the market regulates themselves. It can hit a high and low. If consumers are willing to pay the price than why not? Certain markets depend on the consumer's interests.

As for knowing the sale of food to be regulated? I don't think so, only certain items I will make an example about such as gas, tobbaco sales are regulated by the Canadian government due to the taxes it collects back. Yes, our food is taxed, certain products an overall 6% or 7% so are our restaurant services overall. If I were a private restaurant owner, I don't know if I would appreciate the government telling me to drop my prices.

Being Canadian I never ever ate a lobster, I am curious on how they taste. Maybe I just can't afford to buy it in a restaurant.

Yes, it should be regulated because they are like any other product. They should be charged just like any other food. A ceiling price should be set by the government.
