Yes and no. If you read the definition of Fascist it deals with total control. While our US constitution has built in protections against this, think about the Patriot Act. It was a huge step toward Fascist regime. Political labels such as Fascist Regime should be seen on a continuum (a line with one extreme on one end and the other extreme on the other). You will see that we and other governments move back and forth on that continuum with changing times.
Not even during the height of the cold war was any county a pure communist county (all the way over on the continuum) I would argue that pure Fascism (or any other political/economic system) is not attainable. However we may get close at times.

Fascism is a big word to be using in a flip question.
The news media in the United States is big business because they are able to report at least two sides to every issue.
When you put some years on, you'll probably look back and think this was a silly question to ask.
