I have very pale skin and is quite blotchy so I have to wear foundation... Also, my skin is quite dry at times and my skin always seems to be cracking especially in the cold weather... I hate having to wear foundation everyday, I just wish I could be more natural and wear minimum make-up....

What make-up would you recommend for me to wear to hide the blemishes well but not wear too much make-up?

When you have a wash first of all buy some clense-clear/ or something like that, that will get rid of your cracking up skin. Then once a month you should put on a bit of tanning cream because that will put more colour on your face!

Green coversticks are good in small doses, the problem comes in the blending. Its very easy to keep the green cast from the product and only end up enhancing what you were trying to cover. I would suggest finding a good powder based foundation. For a good one you made need to pay a bit more but they last longer and feel nice. For a slightly heavier but very soft finish try Studio Fix by Mac (I love this stuff, it has staying power I promise), for a loose powder finish invest in some Bare Minerals. I havent tried it myself but a friend of mine uses it and her skin looks radiant.

On the other hand, if you really want sheer coverage try a tinted moisturizer and a bit of cover stick on the spots you worry about, but blend carefully. With the other skin issue you're having a good moisturizer could really help anyway. I really like You Rebel by BeneFit.

I have quite blotchy skin as well. What i do, is use an exfoliating face wipe, put some moisturiser on and then use Max Factor's Colour Adapt foundation. It covers up any blotchiness but doesn't leave you looking like you have tons of foundation on like some brands do.

There is a product that really does work and will eliminate blotchy red skin. It's a green gel like liquid that come in a small bottle with a pipette. You apply 2 - 3 drops every night and then apply your normal moisturiser. It is called Phyto + gel and made by Skinceuticals. It is quite expensive but worth every penny. It is not available over the counter as it's medical grade cosmetic. Some plastic surgeons in the UK will sell it however I buy mine over the net from:

I have used this myself as I have red blotchy and sensitive skin which is dry. I also use Skinceutical moisturiser as it is fantastic (expensive - but I will re-iterate how good these products are).

Good luck!

They have this great blemish sticks that are green. I know it looks funny but they cover up anything. Then all you have to do is put a small amount of foundation on that spot, blend well, and powder that pretty face!!! Im not sure of the name but it looks like green lipstick.

My daughter has always had skin issues Every visit to the doctor I talk to her pediatrician about and she always tells me not to worry babies and kids this just happens for peace of mind you could ask your child's doctor. The best lotion I have found and one the three pediatricians have recommend to me is Aquaphor though it is a thicker formula than Johnson's it really clears up skin problems.

I use Estee Lauders double wear to hide blotchy skin, you won't need to worry about it all day, it will stay on until you wash it off!

my skin the same. Try products shop around. clean and clear are good. Use a tinted moisturiser. like clarins, the body shop and bobbi brown do good foundations that conceal so it wont look like you have loads and loads of makeup on.

Use bare minerals. It is very light and it will cover up imperfections. I absolutely love this make up and I will never go back to creams.
