I would love it to give up the ciggies but i am sceptical as to whether it works. If there was a guarantee i would not hesitate but like all these alternatiive therapies they are not.

I had a very bad back for 2 years. I used some self hypnosis audio tapes and I was cured in 10 minutes, that is the time it took to play the tape. Some people are good subjects for this type of hypnosis and others are not.
If you believe that Hypnosis will help then it just might. For your particular need though I would say practise your driving until it is second nature and for weight loss just give up on fatty products, excess alcohol and cut down on all sweet products. I did this and lost 3 stone in 7 months and I never went hungry. I have maintained the new weight by staying off those foods. By the way start the day with half milk(Skimmed)and half water porridge.
Best of luck.

Hypnosis is a form of deep relaxation. If you have a tendancy to be nervous, it could be useful prior to your driving test. However, look on this as teaching you to relax rather than for getting you through the test - or you'll pass and panic later.

For weight loss, giving up smoking etc, you need hypnotherapy. This involves making you relax and then putting ideas into your mind. It depends on how good a hypnotic subject you are. Many people find the relaxation is OK, but wake up with the giggles as soon as the autosuggestion starts.

Hypnosis can work but you have to have the right frame of mind, it doesn't always work though and check references for the practitioner you wish to use!!! Also check out relaxation techniques in preparation for your driving test these worked for me and help with all aspects of your life whatever the situation.

hypnosis does not work for everyone, so if it did not work for you, what a waste. Even if it DOES work, you will not learn to eat and excercise and the weight will just come back on. Do it the old fashioned way!

is it even LEGAL to do hypnosis for driving?

dont think hypnosis is the answer, postive thinking is, you just need to believe in yourself, as for the weightloss, just eat more healthier, and you can still have your little treats as long as they are not family sized. I love chocolate and tend to eat ones that are 100 calories, curly wurlys are about that, but buy everything low fat like cakes and crisps and stuff and you will notice a difference.

I tried it twice for weight loss and it didn't work. Try the Atkins diet. I lost 28 pounds.
