FIRST OFF:
Don't just go to cutting. If you can invite a friend to help you, put the jeans on, and have the friend draw a line with chalk or a light marker to just UNDER where you want them cut. Then, TAKE THEM OFF (haha), cut just ABOVE the mark (specially if you used the marker incase of bleedage). If you want them frayed, wet the cut line and throw them in the dryer. Repeat the wet and dry process (no reason to wash) until frayed until you like them.

Take a pair of shorts that you like the length of, lay them on top of the jeans your using to cut off, cut, wear.

cut off the legs to the appropriate length that u want the shorts then put Voila - jean short!

Take a pair of regular blue jeans and a pair of scissors and cut the pair of blue jeans to the appropriate length.

You cut-off the legs of a pair of jeans and they become cut-off jean shorts. VOILA!!!

NO! If they are tight at the thighs then it will not look cute as shorts. TRUST ME. I have these old jeans that make my butt look amazing and they were bell bottoms so i decided to make them into shorts. But since it was tight at my thighs cutting them into shorts squeezed my thigh fat out and gave me a little tire there.

I take an old pair of jeans..put them on..with a marker mark how short I want them..take them off and get the scissors and cut away..very simple..i have several pair.love them

unless ur a perfessional dont. they some out weird sometimes.but if ur ok at it then just cut where you feel is right but apply clear neil polish as close to the end of the shorts. this will help prevent a lot of the tearing at the bottom
