There will be no Trans Am for 2008. As you may know, the Camaro is coming back in a few years. Someone modified the car with Photoshop to make it look more Pontiac-like. For now, you can expect a new GTO, but the new Firebird is still an uncertainty . . . and it'll be at least a year after the Camaro for sure, if it happens.

Why in the world would Pontiac merge with Mopar--A Daimler-Chrysler Performance Division--? That makes absolutely no sense at all...I just got the 2007 vehicle catalog from Pontiac..no Trans Am. The Camaro is still a concept car with rumors flying around about whether it will be built or not. If it is, I don't see why a Trans Am/Firebird wouldn't be built, but look at how long the GTO lasted. Unfortunately, until GM starts operating in the black, it may be a while until we see any muscle cars from them IMO.

I don't know what sort of drugs MissAmericanPie is on, but I want some! Merging with Mopar? Puhleeze...

No, the T/A is not coming back in '07, '08' or '09. The Pontiac honchos keep hinting that there might be a new GTO in '09 or so, but there's nothing more than industry rumors at this point.

If you look up "firebird 2008" under Yahoo images I believe there are some photos of that. You might be able to search "firebird concept" for the concept vehicle photos. Also, there used to be a link on the Pontiac official site that had some info. I heard that they are only going to come out with the new firebird if they merge with Mopar. I couldn't confirm that, though.
I really hope they do end up making the new one! I've been waiting for years!! I still think the old ones are worth their weight in gold if they were well taken care of.
