Now I have heard alot of b-i-t-c-h-i-n-g about how oh the ps3 is too expensive and the xbox360 has halo3 now let me put this all in perspective for you. This is not from the point of view of sony, or microsoft or even nintendo, it is from the point of view of a gamer: The ps3 it may cost alot but it can already run linux and if it can run linux then surely it can run xp and if it can run xp surely it can emulate xbox and if it can emulate xbox then surely with its graphical capabilities it can emulate xbox360 and with that comes halo 3. If it can emulate halo 3 and it has the same technology as the wii then surely sony will find a way so that it uses that technology and it will most likely be similar to the wii. If not the homebrew community will emulate something similar to the wii and if you are patient and wait a few months for the ps3 then you will have killed 3 birds with one stone essentially. You will have a console that can emulate xbox and xbox360 and the wii. Now stop if you got an xbox360 and a wii you would be able to do almost everything the ps3 can do with the exception, you will lack blu ray a new and rising format, you will lack the memory space that the ps3 has, you will lack the graphics the ps3 has, you will lack the computer like capabilities the ps3 has, and you will lack the ps3 selection of games which is available to soley the ps3. Now if you can live without all that then get an xbox360, but if you can wait and have patience you can have it all.

Wait a while and see which one gets the games that you want; that way prices will also come down.
Also don't write off the Wii.
Re: Sony being overpriced junk... I don't believe that to be true, the PS 3 and the xbox 360 are both great products.
The PS 3 is a little more expensive, but technically is a far more advanced system. On the white paper the PS3 will deliver better performance and graphics quality. Also it has the blu-ray drive so can store more stuff.
If games developers take advantage of this and deliver better games then I say the PS3 is the go. If not, the the 360 is the go.
I think you need to go beyond the brand and technical specifications... the Wii is not technically as speedy as the other 2 systems, but if it can deliver games then I'd still be happy to own one.
So patience... lets see who delivers ;)
I'd give it 6 months before purchasing unless you're a fanboy who wants to jump in...
Remember when talking price the PS3 is still at its introductory price... the 360 was up there when it was released. Consoles tend to drop in price dramatically over the first 6 months.

Dont get a PS3 they are about 500 to 600 dollars in US money. There were only 4,000 in the US and well to tell you the truth if you want a PS3 you would be on ebay right now buying one for like 10,000. Anywho Xbox 360 is suppose to be nice. I have a PS2 and am very happy with that so good luck.

I would go with the X-Box 360. The PS3, I've heard, has a lot of flaws in it, like the fact that it randomly shuts off. The 360 was out earlier this year, and they had flaws, but Microsoft fixed it. Besides, a complete 360 system would total around four hundred fifty dollars, while buying a PS3 would cost you more than six hundred.

I have a xbox 360 and I'm gonna get ps3 but you're going to have to wait a while for it to ship again unless you wanna get ripped off on ebay....
I heard on ps3, the first system the game goes in, that's the only system it'll work in cause of blu-ray but I'm not sure about that.

THE PS3 is a lot better graphics wise. 360 only has better games because it has been available longer...but in about 4 months, PS3 is going to have A LOT better games then the 360, you wont regret it

360 all the way to the promised land its cheaper, it has many games out right now plus blue-ray is going to be so expensive plus blue ray is no better than a dvd it just holds more, so if the game does not fill a blue-ray disc than it is a waste, 360 has a better interface with media and stuff, plus its microsoft so u know there will be many hacks available and last but not least
HALO 3

think about this, a Blu-ray player itself is selling for $999. The PS3 has blu-ray, plays games in high-def, and has a 60gig HDD for $599. put that into perspective, the PS3 is quite a deal for Blu-ray enthusiasts.

Neither. Wait a few months until new vers. of the systems are out. First release systems are always filled with bugs.
So far, I've heard no complaints about the Wii but you never now.
