Hello,

Do you know a simple way of telling if a church/cathedral has a Roman, Gothic or Baroque architecture just by looking at it? And once you know, can you tell when it was built?

Thanks for your help,
Michael.

A Roman style church has a round-topped arch. Gothic architecture has a pointed arch and an uplifting look. Baroque architecture is an extremely ornate Roman style.

The main things are the shapes & decorations of the arches & columns. Please search for some pictures or drawings - they will show you better what words & names alone cannot.
