Last period came a day late and was light but stretched out I kept thinkin it was goin to end but I'd spot. Month before that my period came two days early, but lasted longer than usual, but was lighter than usual. This month I am on my period and I did not have cramps before it started -but very little. & The day I started I had cramps, but that's it. I am on the third day now and it's slowing down. It has been looking normal but more thin, not really any chunnks at all (sorry tmi). It just seems to be shorter or lighter than usual. I went for a papsmear last month, and thought since she felt my cervix she'd know if I was preg or not, could she have known? Well I am just wondering what yau'll think is goin on wit my lighter period, I know not all yau'll are doctors, but atleast I can get advice.

If you think you might be pregnant, you should take a test.

Also consider the fact that your body will change through the years...When I was young, I got really bad cramps and horrible periods that lasted for 10 days. As I got other, the cramps have gone away and my period has gotten a lot lighter and shorter and is inconsistant by a few days here and there.

It sounds like you might be a little irregular. If you were to take a pregnancy test now it would most likely give you an accurate result if you are pregnant. Wouldn't hurt to take one. There is something that's called implantation bleeding but that happens about 1-2 weeks after conception, not each month. Implantation bleeding only last a couple days, sometimes just a few hours and extremely lighter then a normal period. Cramping is usually not associated with it unless the cramping is severe, then something could be wrong. I would take a test if it comes out negative call your doc. and schedule a blood test to confirm the negative result. Also speak with your doctor about what's going. Better be safe then sorry. And would put your mind at ease.

Many things can effect the amount and duration of your period. Stress, unusual exercise, weight loss or weight gain will all effect your period.

If you are concerned, take a pregnancy test. If it's negative, just enjoy the fact you had a lighter one.

Unless you told your Dr that you thought you might be pregnant she would not have done any of the normal tests. I would go get a home pregnancy tes if I were you.
