The rules, In NCAA IA, allow for more than one player to have the same number (most college football programs w/walk ons) have over 125 members on it's roster. Do the math - some repeat numbers.

Also, teams try to seperate the same numbers so they don't end up on the field together but it's not a rule. So you could possibly see two number tens on the field at the same time.

Yeah that's what it is man. You can have 2 jersey numbers if one is on off. and the other is on def. In this case QB Booty wears #10, and LB Brian Cushing #10. Good Day

It's evidently obvious they can so as long as one plays on defense and the other on offense. Now, why do you care? You must be a Notre Dame fan.

I was wondering the same thing. I am a Norte Dame fan. I guess they can as long as one is on offence and one on defence.
