Heya. Im also 17/uk. Try out www.hi5.com it's a great site for meeting cool people on the net. It's alot better for the UK, and Myspace has too many perverts and weird people. I'll chat with you if you want.

hello purepink, Sorry to hear your mum is unwell, Have you no other family members to help you with looking after your mum? Maybe they could take turns in staying with your mum. You are very young and should have friends and some social life. Even ask your family doctor for some advice on how to get some extra help, sure you love your mum to bits and sure she would love to see you with friends your own age, speak to your mum see how she feels about this idea .

msn is a good way to chat with people and if you go onto a site with a chat room you can get peoples e-mails off there but be careful dont talk to anyone who makes you feel unsafe.

There are organisations to make friends... you could try Spice... it runs events and you may meet some people locally ... you can find them on the net.
If you wish to chat, there will be many people here willing to help and become your friend, please feel free to e-mail those who offer the opportunity to e-mails them, such as myself.

Myspace is a great place to mix with other online users.

I hope your mum is doing fine, and my heart goes out to you, and I hope you'll find some great life-long friends.

making friends on the computer is not such a good idea. i mean its fine, but what would really help you is to try and make a couple good friends who live near you or that you can hang out with.
