Is skinny attractive?

I don't really get it so many guys say they don't like those anorexic looking girls. But yet when I'm underweight I get hit on a lot more/ What is the deal? And how come older guys go for me if I'm on the low side of a healthy weight and if Im very light guys nearer my age go more for me??! I don't understand...
My best friend is near Nicole Richie skinny and every where we go guys hit on her. All my friends tell me that guys don't go for that... Are they jealous?

Superficial is what comes to mind when I think of guys who go for girls first and foremost on looks. HOWEVER, thats instinct of the masses. I am an average size girl (read in america as about 10 lbs overweight) and enjoy my healthy body. I think in the long run a man is going to STAY with someone who isn't insecure no matter their weight or features whatever they be. The short term relationships will be based on weight, the long term? On the Heart.

I like a girl to be of a healthy weight. A gal who is to thin I am afraid I would hurt her so would not make an advance toward someone to thin. When you say a little on the low side you mean less than 5 pounds. Then that ok 10 or more go have a milk shake :)

I think guys like thin women, of course not like hardcore anorexic thin. A lot of people who are bitter about their weight, in the U.S at least, are...well, the U.S is an overweight country so a lot of people in the U.S are overweight but are very bitter because the think they are simply average but being called overweight. The U.S is just a big country so some ppl who are overweight(which is probably alot of ppl) become angry. Since the U.S is the most overwiehgt country in the world which means most of its inhabitants are overweight, it means that the a good chunk of the public is overweight. Thus forming a deep prejudice against those who are very thin and cursing them out to eating disorders. Of course I can't tell you how biased my answer is...Maybe I have the warped view, who knows? Everything is based on society's standards

Yes, the modern eye has been trained to find a very thin female attractive. I don't want to place too much importance on your or your friend's weight. If she is happy being thin and is otherwise healthy, that's fine. Just remember that there are more important things than pleasing guys. There will always be someone willing to date you (yes, really, always - no matter what your weight), and while dating can be fun, don't let it get in the way of your personal, financial, career, and/or artistic goals.

Yes very much so but I like all women , but if your very big you need a whole lot more going for you for me.. I can only tolerate a little more ignorance than what I have. Too skinny can be hard for me also.

Why would any guy for someone that skinny?! Unless you have the muscle to fill you out mote there is no way in hell you should be that thin. It is kind of nauseating........

Some guys for the skinny type, other don't. It really depends on the guy.

Most guys would go for slender girls, not skinny ones. lol, adult women in the u.s.under 130 lbs are rapidly becoming extinct. Let's just face it, american people are FAT, generally, of course.

I can't speak for everyone, but stick girls gross me out. I'm not one of those "more cushion for the pushin" people, but I would much rather have a girl who is healthy looking.

there's a difference in being skinny and anorexic. if you're naturally skinny that's one thing, but anorexic is dangerous and not attractive.
