i had a neighbor like that. we could see our street from miles away, it was so bright. but it didnt interfere with sleep, or anything like that. and it was fun to see all the people drive by and admire our street. its just for a month, can you guys deal with it til then? if you cant sleep, its one thing, but if they arent bothering you that much, its too much of a nosebleed to try to do anything.

Just be thankful you aren't paying the electric bill. You only have a few weeks until the Christmas season is over so stop being a grinch. If the stuff is still up after New Years, then you can start complaining.

I think that the only complaint you have, that is worth fighting for, is that it is too bright. Besides that it is his yard and the way it looks doesn't directly affect you, beside the fact that you find it distastful. Enjoy it and lead by example by decorating in the fashion you see fit, maybe he will be inspired next year to tone it down.

Hire the legal firm of Scrooge, Humbug, and Grinch. They're in the yellow pages under "Poopers, Party".

Nothing. If he is a good neighbor and this is just onece a year leave it alone. He is the one that has to put it up and then take it all down and find storage and keep it from been eaten by rats and mice.

Nothing really, just get over it, christmas is almost here and soon as you know it'll be all over and done with. Just be glad that you don't have to pay their light bill!.......Hey if their lights are so bright you wouldn't need to put your lights up. They're saving you the time and money! So you should be thankful!!!..........By the way if you want to be spiteful, cut a few cords late at night or while they're out.

Why don't you and your other neighbors get in to the X-mas spirit. It's once a year. If he was doing something illegal, I would understand. He's celebrating, like the rest of you should be doing.

Shut your curtains and don't look. Your not paying the bill to run them. But you are right sometimes people get so much stuff out that it just looks cluttered, not decorated.

At night randomly cut some wires to the lighting.
They'd have a hard time figuring out where the faults are :p
No, seriuosly.
If it's really that bright that you don't need to turn on your own lights at night no more.
It could have a positive side?
