Everyone has their own things that they do on Christmas and Christmas Eve....I was just wondering what they were. We are looking into starting new traditions with our son so that Christmas is special to him too. Have a great one!

About a week before Christmas, we go for a drive and see all the christmas lights in town then my son and I come home and bake gingerbread and build a Gingerbread house and decorate it(sometimes we do a school or church). Then we nibble on it throughout the holiday. Christmas eve we go to a candlelight church service, then we come home, have cocoa with marshmallows and a candy cane in it while we read the Christmas story from the Bible before bed.
Christmas morning we first sing happy birthday to Jesus, blow out His birthday candle, eat the cupcake and thank Him for the gifts we have received. Then we enjoy the blessings of the day.

traditions can't happen unless you get something started. Usually family traditions are spent with the family. I always enjoyed walking out and cutting down our fresh Christmas tree from the tree farm. The time spent cutting, decorating, caroling, traveling, moms Hot chocolate and potato soup will forever be in my thoughts of Christmas.

Well I normally get up at the crack of dawn and open my gifts now instead of me doing it alone like I did when I was a child... I do it with my daughter so now I have company....lol.... After that make a huge breakfast and start cooking the Christmas dinner for the rest of the day I am normally in the kitchen

Oooh! Just looking at this filled me with Christmas spirit. On Christmas eve I sit in and watch the Christmas classic movies, admire all of the lights and decorations. On Christmas day, I go to my Mum and my Brother's house and we have a great Christmas dinner, get drunk, and we sleep there. And to top it off on boxing day we have a fry up to get rid of the little bit of hangover.

Ever since My oldest daughter was born and she's 36. I've made a Happy Birthday JESUS cake and I still do it now for my Grandchildren. It may not be the day he was born, but it's the day we all celebrate his birth. Merry CHRISTmas to you and yours!

My family visits another part of my family each year. This year we're visiting cousins in Cleveland, and last year we visited grandparents in Florida. It's a great way to keep in touch with everyone.
