the pull out meathod is only 80% effective at preventing pregnancy when used by a well controlled man on a regular basis who washes his penis before sex.

birth control is only 92% effective acording to usage. 1 in 100 women how are on birth control for a year will become pregnant.

I got pregnant on the pull out method. And my friend got pregnant with both her kids while on birth control.

Its unlikely that you're pregnant, but its not impossible.

Double up on birth control methods, like, the pill and a condom, or, the pill and some spermicide. You'll be doubly protected.

They do not cancel each other out. But there is still a very small chance of pregnancy, the only 100% way to prevent pregnancy is abstinence, I'm not recommending this though, just pointing it out, but you are about 99.9% protected. It appears that if you are using condoms, birth control and he pulls out then you are really doing all within your power to prevent pregnancy. The only other thing to add to avoid pregnancy would be to track your fertile days and refrain from sex on these days, but it seems to be an unnecessary precaution - google 'natural family planning' for more information.

Exact statistics depend on what type of birth control your using. Even though your guy "pulled out" prior to ejaculation, there are sperm in pre-seminal fluid, which is released during sex. There's always a chance...if you have to wonder afterward, maybe you should do something to be sure there isn't any uncertainty next time. Be safe. Don't take chances, not only of getting pregnant, but these days with YOUR LIFE!

chances are still there. i know it sucks but its true. When I was married, my wife at the time was on birth control and I always did the pull out ( a guy secretes even before reaching the point of pulling out), but she still gave birth, yes- to mine. Unfortunatly, the only way not to get pregnant is of course not to do it, but that totally sux!!!
If you don't want to get pregnant, continue with the bc, see if he'll wear a condom, at least that will lower your percentages on getting there. Invest in those home pregnacy test too!!!!

Probably not (99% chance) if you take the b/c right. I would not worry !!!

Ps. Make sure you use a condom to be very safe!! ( you never know what someone else may have.)
