Any time you are working a job where the workers are largely uneducated, you are bound to find ignorant coworkers with no life. They base their self-worth entirely on how many people they can ream out and make miserable(it gives them a feeling of power). The best thing you can do is to work your way out of there. If you don't have a higher education or vocational training, then get one. You may have to suffer for a while at your current job until you reach that goal, though. If you are well-educated, start looking at jobs that are more your speed(but again, you may be stuck with the fast food losers in the meantime). Either way, keep reminding yourself that you're worth it to society a lot more than those folks at the fast food rat race. It will help you cope in the meantime. True, they'll get a power rush when you do leave. But you won't be there anymore for them to continue it with you.

I always used sarcastic remarks when I couldn't deal with my employees. Not mean ones, just sarcastic. They ususally ended up laughing. There was a lot of joking in the kitchen, even when I was ticked off at them because of screwing things up, whining, etc..

Like if someone asked me if they should start the appetizer, I'd reply "That would be logical and make sense, wouldn't it?" Or if someone called in with a lame excuse to not work which was obviously a lie, I'd tell the others "Everyone who believes that excuse, stand on your head."

It really diffuses tense situations.

You need to change jobs before you go to jail for being the "Burger King Serial Killer".

I agree - most of the people they hire for these jobs are losers.
But when they push your buttons like that, its hard to not lash out. It takes a lot of meditation and control to ignore them.

you could desire to be extra particular in describing the complicated habit you're coping with. no person is purely an "A55hole" - yet many human beings behave in approaches that makes working with them complicated. you could desire to look previous the guy and look at the habit - and then possibly come back right here - or seek for help someplace else - with understand to the habit. If all you will see is an "A55hole" and not see a guy or woman who demonstrates a definite form of habit - then that is your real issue. i will guess you think of purely approximately each and every person is an A55hole do no longer you ?

You have to watch The Office (the tv show - US version) and take tips from how Jim deals with Dwight. Seriously, you'll have so much fun, and you won't be blowing up on anyone.

Kill them with kindness. When someone says something funky to you, just say: "You must me having a bad day"

Usually when I say this, the person's attitude changes a little ~ and they usually respond by agreeing with you.
