Generally, advertising is a method of communication between a seller & a buyer. While, like most things, it could be used in an immoral way - in and of itself it really isn't any more immoral than two people talking to each other.

It's not immoral, but I find it inappropriate at times. How many toy adverts do we really need to see at this time of year? Surely as parents we'll make our own choices, and advertising before Xmas just causes more harm than good.

Presenting that you have a service or product for sale isn't unethical. Presenting that service or product in the best light, so long as honesty is maintained, isn't unethical.

People are subject to persuation. Why blame the candy seller, if you can't resist their product.

A person has to be responsible for their own actions. So long as a person isn't being dishonest, or depriving another of life, property, of well being, through force or fraud, why consider them immoral or unethical?

Isn't it all about putting your product out there and letting the public chose to buy it? As long as the advertising is truthful, what the harm. It can be a bit annoying, ignore it!
