They are clearly going nowhere this year. After all the years KG has given them they owe it to him to let him have a shot at getting a ring. I mean he is still keeping his cool when he should be referring to Kevin McHale only as the Guy Who Ruined My Life.
Here's one of the greatest big men ever, one of the fiercest competitors in any sport, someone who could finish his career with historic scoring and rebounding numbers ... and yet we have absolutely no clue how good he really is. He's played with, by my count, only six quality players in his 12 seasons: Joe Smith, Stephon Marbury, Terrell Brandon, Cassell, Sprewell and Wally Szczerbiak. His only "decent" coach was Flip Saunders, who is currently running the Pistons into the ground. The guy making the player moves has always been the memorably incompetent McHale, and KG's only owner, Glen Taylor, famously squandered four first-rounders by illegally negotiating Smith's ill-conceived, cap-violating contract.

KG's body language, especially after Peja Stojakovic's game-winning three, makes him seem almost resigned to his fate, like an unhappy husband who can't stomach the thought of a divorce because he doesn't want to hurt his children. It's depressing to watch.
In his shoes, maybe you or I would have sabotaged our situation already, but that's what is great about KG: Instead of quitting on a lost cause to force Minnesota's hand, he just keeps busting his butt and waiting to be saved.

wow, that was.... VERY well put, and i completly agree. KG is probably the 2nd best player (lebron) in the NBA right now, but there seems like there's no hope for him to do anything with the rest of his career. He's still great, but as he is finishing his days, there's no way he's gonna win. There's no point in being the best player ever without winning it all. Think of Jordan without any rings, he's would not be who he is without his 6 rings. Sure, John Stockton and Karl Malone are hall of famers, top 50 ever, great players, but without winning the champship, they'll always be behind MJ and Magic and Bird. The ring is what seperates great from the best. T-wolves owe it to Kevin to put him in a position to win after all his years of taking them even close to the Finals by himself.

They have no chance at going anywhere. They should have made this trade a long time ago. But the thing is there isn't any thing great in return. KG i can tell is very frustrated and wants to be on a championship team which I hope in the future he gets. I think this year is the year that he gets traded.

style of NBA titles with KG=0 they'd win that many with out him. Celtics have been desperate after the finished "we don't throw video games to get the #one million %." and needed somebody to interest the followers. it somewhat is in all probability the final deal the Wolves could get. Did you particularly think of they have been ever gonna win a identify interior the subsequent couple years with him the way the corporation facet works? Time to get what you could and build the gang formerly you have have been given not something in any respect to artwork with or commerce. See the Chicago Bulls after MJ, they are in basic terms now coming back into style. i'm not sayin this is the best flow....yet now and returned issues like this artwork out interior the long-term. and that i grew up in Minnesota, so i'm partial to seein the wolves win.

they should trade KG and get younger player
KG is getting old and he despratly wants a championship ring and the only way he could get one is by getting traded to a different team
maybe the lakers or suns, i think kg would even take pay cut to play in any championship team

Yes, they must trade KG because he is not happy playing with the team anymore and he must do something as soon as possible for him to win a championship.

Garnett's surrounding is terrible. The T-wolves shouldn't trade KG for another year. If they suck, then KG should get the hell out cuz he's simply too good for Minnesota Twolves.

Don't trade him yet. Let him get out of his funk. He is a franchise player and fans love him. Wait till there are some good free agents and then trade him.
