I'm not sure what you are talking about. But recently I saw a census pie chart of races that make up America and Native Americans weren't even given any slice of the pie. I turned to my husband who is Arikara Sioux and said to him, either they classified Native Americans into another category or none of them filled out the census they passed out a few years ago. Sadly the Native American Race is fading away, both in DNA and in it's teachings and beliefs, The younger generation no longer practicies the beliefs of the elders and stereotyping on that race has not been addressed properly by society. I think your question more or less is aksing actually how long will it be before all of us in America adapt to our climate and our pigment changes? I do not believe that the climate will be a factor in pigmentation. I believe as everyone's racist ideas fall out of play with each new generation that we will eventually combine DNA to form a more dominant skin tone and appearance from all our nationalities being blended. I do not see that happening for a few more centuries where one appearance is more dominant than the other in regards to color of skin and hair, etc. But no one will turn into a Native American as your question states. That is where I get a little trailed off in your question. Whether it be DNA or climate though I must say that each generation appears to be more attractive than the last; so us as a human race we are doing something right with our evolution!

lol !! I hate to put a pick in your bonnet 'Luci' but 'Red Skin" is a white mans term! I am native American so I suppose it won't be long for me!
However, When people refer to native Americans they are referring to a group or people who existed in an area that is now known as America before the land was addressed as such! I have family that have lived in the United States before it 'was' the States and, the Gods willing, we will continue to be here.
Again, I must correct those who will argue with me on this next part. A Native American, in this day and age, are those who were born in America and live here as citizens of the nation! I am a human being and as such can not deter or question what it is the Gods have in mind for this land.
We have grown into a country of more mixed breeds than could have ever been imagined, so I must admit that being Native American is, now, a matter of opinion. I love my heritage but over the past 100 years there have been a great number of 'New' heritages grown.
So in short, in America, born and raised, or just starting out, we are an American heritage of Natives looking for our roots!

A Native American Medicine man told me that being Indian isn't just a matter of bloodline !
I have deep seated feelings that at one time I may of come from the Native American line & am always drawn to the interest of anything about them.
The Native Americans that were here way before us were treated very badly. They were handed out blankets by the government that were infected with typhoid & other diseases to purposely kill many of them.

Native Americans that are here now still came from somewhere else. Skin pigmentation depends on the amount of sun (UV rays): if the people in Africa didn't have black skin, they would have skin cancer. They have more melanin, or color pigment, to diffuse UV rays. Native Americans were Asians from Alaska, but the climate has changed them in some ways.

millions and trillions of years. somehow the impossible seems more likely if we extend large amounts of time to complete a task. i sure hope the earth remains stable enough for billions of years so that we can complete our tansformation. and thank God that the earth has remained so stable over the last gazillion years so we could get here in the first place.
