Absolutely. It's just like Survivor. The first Survivor with cranky Sue and Sneaky Richard was great because people joined the show because it was interesting to them. Now people sign up to be on so they can feed their already celf-centred and rotten egos by being celebrities and it's all just fluff. Musicians used to be musicians because they loved music. Now it's all for fame and recognition, with very few real musicians thrown in. Just my opinion.

Do I like ALL music of nowadays?
Definitely not, whereas I liked almost all of the music of the 60s and 70s.
But that is just a matter of taste, it doesn't mean music has decreased, IMHO it just changed a LOT!

I think so. I am totally out of the music loop now. The 80s and 90s had better quality music than it does now. At least it was tasteful.

It has!! I consider myself a fan of all music, but quality has shot down imensly. The 3 main genres of music in the US has just plummeted I feel. Rap/hip,Country and rock is the same. Same lyric, same beat, same look. THe majority of music I listen to is older material. I prefer Eric B & Rakim over GUnit , Johnny Cash over Rascal Flatts, Led Zeppelin over Staind.

yeah definitely. There's still a few good stuffs sometimes but it has been years since someone did something really fantastic. nowadays, the pop music is utter crap.
I'm french and in France, there is no good music today. French singers are ... I can't find a word to describe them coz they suck SO much. In england they have good music though, in japan too.

Music stopped being any good when Kurt Cobain made brain pie all over his wall. May he rest in peace.

for me it depends on the genre. i think rock/alternative is still fairly good. rap has become worse. hip hop and pop is ok but not what it used it to be. i think rock/alternative isnt as good as it was a few years back but its pretty good.
