I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that answered my question. I was asking because My sister-n-law just took the test and I wanted to be sure because now we get to be pregnant together. I am 33 weeks so at least we will be for a short time.

no. The hormone is only present when you're pregnant.

Wait a week and test again, so long as its still positive its true.

Sometimes you can have a very early miscarriage, and test before you realize you lost the baby, resulting in te hormones still beig in your body.

Generally though, the test has a very very faint positive line.

Go have blood work done.

Hmmmm....good question. Unless you were having inplantation bleeding or an early miscarriage I don't know why you would start bleeding after 10 days. Some women do bleed throughout their pregnancies though. Usually POSITIVE pregnancy tests are accurate unless you had a miscarriage and the HCG hormone is still in your body. I would call my doctor and ask them. Or even a pharmacist would probably know. Good Luck! I hope you get the answer you are looking for!

If the bleeding is very light and very dark like brown in color or light pink and its not enough to use a pad or tampon then yes u could be. This happens to a lot of women, its callked implantation bleeding and happens when the baby implants itself into the uterine lining. very common. If the test shows positive, even the faintest line means u are probably pregnant. usually the tests are very accurate and take it as a positive. Congrats and good luck!

Those tests are EXTREMELY accurate. If there is any question about its accuracy, take another one or go to the doctor. If you take two home pregnancy tests with an error rate of 99.9%, and they both come back positive, you have been impregnated.

Yes, it could be a false positive.

You need to think about this, and have some very straight conversations with your boyfriend.

If he only wants you as a sexual object, what are your options?
If you are pregnant, what do you want to do?

You are not the only person in history who has had to make these decisions. Reason it out in a mature way.

You have options, so be sure you know what they are

There is such a thing as false positive but usually the home ones are pretty on when they show positve. Its when they show negative that sometimes you can still be preg. Make an appt with your OBGYN and get soem options and advice from him

It is very rare to get a false positive. You should retest just in case, but most likely the test is correct.

It's pretty unlikely that it's wrong. What your bleeding could be is implantation spotting. There is a possibility that you may be having an early miscarriage. I would see a doctor as soon as you can to confirm.
