I'm sure enough people in the UK know which advert I'm talking about - the golfer, Montgomery, keeps getting put off his shot by people taking photos.

Anyway, what I want to know is this: why does the commentator Peter Allis say 'What this? A new foil-wrapped KitKat.', as Monty walk off opeing the snack?

Kitkats have been wrapped this way for years now! How is it 'new'?

Is that so, Mr Grumpy?

Just shows how observant I am. Thanks.

They're wrapped in foil to keep them fresh. That ad irritates me, cos I still don't know what happens to the photographer when Monty breaks the KitKat & the commentator says "Monty, Monty, you shouldn't".

i think the kit kat is made from foil as well. did anyone else notice when they changed the packaging for all the main brand chocolate bars (especially yorkies) the quality of the chocolate was severely depleted.

The complete packet is made from foil

Have you noticed that the wrapper is `drawn` to your hands like metal to a magnet? It tends to `stick` to you, a good idea, it makes you think twice about just dropping it anywhere and causing litter.

It's one of those 'new' packaging things. They are now wrapped in the same stuff they use to make crisp packets.

Never mind that.

Did you notice that the commentator has changed from Peter Alliss to Sam Torrance??

Something to do with his BBC contract not allowing him to do any advertising, so they had to change it.
