If money is no object, try Venice.
For something smaller, try a Bed and Breakfast near something you both enjoy (suggestions below) Many have private guest houses to make your honeymoon quiet and very special. Owners live to help you make your time with them more romantic :)
Like wines? Tour some wineries. This is a great idea in many states, the top of the list would be California, Washington State, NY State (Fingerlakes region) and anywhere at all in Virginia.
Horsebackriding? There are plenty of B&Bs in horse country all over the USA and Europe.
If you're living your second childhood, try doing Orlando, FL and doing the Disney theme parks and Universal Studios. They have great fun there for adults and some things geared JUST for adults! Jimmy Buffett, Emeril and Wolfgang Puck all have restaurants there (at Universal) and a hotel like Portofino Bay makes you FEEL like you're in venice and has shuttleboat service back and forth to Universal Theme parks.
You like to ski? Try Telluride if the wedding is during the season. Or the old standby for honeymoon romance, the Poconos.
Whatever you decide, gear it toward something you both love to do or have always wanted to do. It doesn't have to cost a fortune and can be as big or small as you would like. It's just as special to stay somewhere quiet and have that very special intimacy that will set the tone for your life together as to travel and exhaust yourself with a million expensive activities. Both can be exhilarating in their own way :)
Best to you....

Have you been to Turkey very nice. Usually honeymooners get a gift on arrival like a bottle of wine etc. If you want a quieter area then go to the mediterian coast or if prefer more things to do then go to more upland. WOW (world of wonders) hotels in turkey are brilliant. In the daytime you have enterntainment or games to join in with and evening good shows to sit and watch while you have a nice relaxing drink. Or if you just want to relax you can by the beach. I advise all inclusive and to travel with Thomas Cook. I have been to Turkey 4 times already and caters everyones tastes and all ages, also the people are very welcoming and friendly. I also recommend a turkish massage to releave all the stresses of the before wedding stresses. I like Turkey that much I am returning next year.

My daughter and son-in-law have just returned from their honeymoon, a cruise up the Nile.
Had free upgrade to suite and everyone made a big fuss of them.

There IS only one place! One of the Maldive islands--I doubt there is anywhere more romantic on the planet-- there are many beautiful islands (that don't appear on the holiday programs or have film stars visiting) that in my opinion are even better than the 5* ones.
