In my opinion, If USC beats UCLA (and they probably will), then they should get a shot at OSU. If not, then it will be Michigan. But then we'll have Florida fans asking questions.

USC can't keep on beating good teams all the time. You must realize Offensive blunders cost a team 4 ball games last year! So next year may belong to USC but not this year. You say Pete Carrol will be the difference, yes the game won't get out of hand because of Pete Carrol Hard fought game Ohio State 21 USC 17.

There needs to be a final 4, Michigan plays USC and Ohio State plays Florida. The 2 winners play for the championship.

NO NO NO! Who did Michigan loose too? #1 Ohio State, they only played each other because they're in the same division. Who did USC loose too? Oregon State, ranked.. not in the top 25. USC has no shoot at beating OSU. I think Michigan will give them a run for their money AGAIN at a neutral site. I bet if that game was at Ann Harbor things would have turned out differently.

Based on the system, USC belongs in the game. Sure, they had an off day against Oregon State. Big deal. Every team knows the system...lose late in the year and you get punished in the polls. Fans of the Big Ten, SEC and Big 12 need to realize USC is a great team and plays a very tough schedule. They would contend for the title in any of the power conferences.

easily this year's biggest controversy.
USC should go for two reasons: (1) they are playing better and better and (2) michigan DOES NOT deserve to play for the national championship.
so why does michigan not deserve a title shot?
1. they already lost to ohio state. if they did have a rematch and beat ohio state, would that be fair to ohio state?
2. michigan did not win their conference. one of the criteria is that a team has to win their conference. michigan failed to do so.
michigan is a great team, and if last week's game were at michigan, ohio state would have lost. but that's just how the schedule worked this year.
USC is a great team. they proved it by beating arkansas, nebraska, oregon, cal and notre dame. they play an overall tougher schedule than michigan and a bunch of other teams.
USC all the way!

Nothing against Mich, but their fans need to come to reality.USC has had a lot tougher schedule than MICH had this year and deserve to be there at this point.Mich played Notre Dame then played NO ONE until OSU and lost.Screw em, they had their chance and choked..UCLA could very well foil these plans for USC though..
Cmon Mich fans, you will probably get Notre Dame in a bowl game and can kick the crap out of them again!
And the guy above me who said USC has no chance at beating OSU, uhhh, thats what people were saying a couple years ago when they played OU too..Keep thinking that bud..
