My son just turned 7 months old and already has 8 teeth; four on the bottom, four on the top. They all erupted in just the past two months. When the 6th, 7th & 8th ones all broke through in the same night, we hoped he might finally get a breather from teething. But now he seems to be indicating pain where his molars would come through. Has anyone ever heard of a baby with so many teeth coming in at once?

This happened to both of my daughters. They DID catch a break, kind of, at 11 months or so, when they had all their teeth except their eyeteeth. Now, my 15 month old is cutting all of those at the same time.

And one of them is pushing up some granulated tissue with it, and that got infected, so she's really a mess.

Eyeteeth, in our experience, are the worst.

Hang in there. I'm betting your little guy will quiet down at 10 or 11 months (those molars can take a while to pop through), and then you'll be cruising right along for a few months.

My daughters did that. At about 8 months she had a mouth full, and had like literally 4 or 5 coming in all at the same time.

I think kids are all diffrent. Some are slow and some are fast. My other daughter (twins) only has 4 teeth at age 2 because she is tube fed in her belly and can not chew food, helping teeth poke through

I can only share my experience.

My son had no baby teeth when he began his 8th month. By the end of the month he had 8 teeth, four on top and four on bottom. Boom! Just like that.

Since then he has not gotten any more (he just turned a year in October)

Luckily the teething was short, but somewhat painful for him. So we used baby orajel and some tylenol (on rough nights) to help ease his discomfort.

Hope this helps.

yup, it happens. My son's first tooth (at four months) was a molar. poor guy, we had no idea! we figured he was teething but couldn't see any teeth. But, it is normal for baby teeth to come in fast, or slow, or average. It wouldn't be normal if they didn't come in at all. that's all you have to worry about. I know it's hard to deal with, but you are getting over with more quickly and that is really a blessing. just keep baby orajel and tylenol on hand, along with either warm or cold teethers (whichever he finds most soothing) and let it ride. six months from now, this will be a funny memory.

All babies are different and teeth may erupt at different times. I have seen babies born with teeth and some don't appear until child is almost one. There is no normal time it just depends on that particular persons growth and developement. Don't worry as children walk and talk at different times as well and it is all good.

It's normal... some babies are born with teeth. Feel fortunate that you are getting the teething out of the way all at once!

Some babies are born with teeth.

There is no set timeline for when they should grow teeth. Its up to their bodies and their hormones.

Atleast he'll be done quicker!
