Ok, so im 35 weeks along and forgive me but im kinda on edge in regards to when my baby is going to arrive. I know he will come when he is ready, but I was just wondering a couple things. I know that your ribs are naturally going to hurt when you pregnant, but did anyone ever experience just one side hurting and not the other? Also, I have lower back pain all the time. Could this be that the baby is moving down? I hope this doesnt come out wrong or weird, but sometimes it feels like he is going to kick or push out of me. If you havent noticed Im going to be a first time Mom, so I apologize if my questions sound dumb. I have an appointment next week, and I realize my OB will tell me these things, but I also wanted to seek opinions from women who have actually experienced these things...thanks.

yup Iam currently thirty weeks pregnant and sometimes when I wake up in the night to pee I have this strange ache in my right side that kind of throbs. And when I get up and walk I feel alot of pressure down there like the baby is trying to squirm his way out without my consent lol. These things all sound normal and you should have your little bundle of joy soon good luck.

the ribs only hurt because he is kicking them or his head or back side is by your ribs and being in that position doesn't hurt the baby as he is used to this, you will see that when he comes out he still remains in the foetal position for a week or two. it is possible that the baby is moving down soon you will feel every time the baby moves his head as it shocks you around your pelvic (it sounds like your baby is very active kicking all the time which is good) when it gets to that you probably wont want to walk alot but many people including my nurse at the hospital told me that in the last two weeks before your due date that you should walk alot so that the baby can drop all the way (only if baby facing down head first) and your baby will come sooner however if you do not do this you must do this at hospital while in early labour when the contractions are far apart, if you do not walk at all you will have to push longer while in labour in order to push the baby down.

Towards the end of my second pregnancy it felt like I had a bowling ball stuck between my legs, walking becomes a bit of a challenge. I also had a lot of rib pain on my left side, not sure if it was a torn muscle, or if the rib was being pushed on, but I'm sure it's quite normal. Your doctor will be able to tell if the baby is pushing on your cervix and starting to move into your pelvis. I could always tell, because every time baby moved her head it felt like something grinding in my you know what. Good luck!!!

first of all no question should ever be ignored ask every one no matter how strainge it may sound .... if you dont ask youll never know and as for one side hurting more than the other is simple you baby could be just leaning against one side and not the other if you just lie on one side and find baby dont move than try other too see if baby will move. you mentions your baby is a he so you know that "he" will be constantly moving aroung that is just normal for him too be kicking and elbowing you just a part of beiing a mother and your lower back hurting is normal try to stay off your feet more sit or lie down get off of your feet that is why your back is hurting and if your baby drops youll know just remember where your baby is... in relations to your arms your arms wont drop so just hold you baby and know where he is lieing just monitor it from the same standing positions you should know a differance hope this helps

The feeling that he's going to fall out of you is normal. Its because of how far along you are, and hes making his way into your pelvis. Its normal.

Its also normal to have pain on one side more than the other. Between stretching tendons, and the position of the baby, and your natural tendancy to favor one side over the other, its just going to be that way.

The lower back pain is normal, you have to stand tilted back in order to keep your center of gravity when pregnant. Between the stress of an unnatural gate, and the weight of the baby, it puts a lot of strain on your back. Especially with how far along you are.

You're perfectly normal.

Stay active, it'll help. Swim if you can, it relieves the back pain.

It's normal. When I was pregnant with my second, I was having pain on one side only. I started putting a pillow between my knees and one under my stomach when I slept on my side, and it helped... it was strain on my side from the belly! It's worth a try, anyway.

Good luck with your baby. And never underestimate the power of advice from other women... who knows better than people who have been through it. My OB is a man!

Everything sounds normal to me. Your babie's feet are most likely in your rib cage! Big fat head pushing down. Don't be surprised in you go a little early, doesn't sound like you will go 5 more weeks to me, but never know! Good luck!
