Chromatic Scales are all half steps. So literally, you would just play the next note on the piano weather it's a black or white key. The only trick is that you have to know where the natural half steps are(meaning no black key in between). This is the same for either cleff. They would be between E and F and then B and C. so, the D ascending chromatic scale would be... D Eb E F F# G Ab A Bb B C C# and D. the F descending chromatic scale would be F E Eb D C# C B Bb A Ab G F# and F.

It actually depends one what instrument your talking about. Every instrument has a different Concert starting note, unless you mean starting on a D or F then just go up like this:
D, D# or Eb, E, E# or Fb, F, F# or Gb, G, G# or Ab, A, A# or Bb, B, B# or Cb, C, C# or Db, D.
Some notes, like my clarinet, don't have certain sharps and flats. So that's not the chromatic scale for every instrument, the piano and a few other instruments can play that excatly how it is.

in a chormatic scale you use all the keys both black and white. you go D to D using all the keys. F to F all the keys.
Tip: 3rd finger always on black keys.

unless you mean a regular scale then:
D = F#, C#
F = Bflat
also on both hands is the same scale so what ever is in the base cleff is in the treble cleff.

TREBLE: D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B, C, C#, D

BASS: D, Db, C, B, Bb, A, Ab, G, Gb, F, E, Eb, D, Db, C, B, Bb, A, Ab, G, Gb, F, E, Eb, D

You might want to check on this, all I'm used to is the C chromatic scale. But basically all you do is start on one note and go up or down one half step at a time. (on the piano anyway)

every flat and sharp is under the one scale.
