why cant kids just be kids? u only get one chance. why do they want to act all grown up for? the grown up world is harsh and no wonder we say the BIG BAD world after the BIG BAD WOLF in lil red riding hood :D

I agree! I'm fifteen and I have never acted like that! I'd rather be at home watching tv or reading, but some of my friends like to go out and drink and ride around acting like idiots. I'm glad my parents raised me better than that. I don't see why girls my age have boyfriends. All they do is follow them around and act like skanks. They think I'm crazy cause when boys ask me out I say no!

Lol I was just reading that article. I totally agree with you. I don't understand why such young kids want to act all frown up anmd watch when they ARE older, they are going to have so many problems in life such as REAL relationships, school, college, family, BILLS, etc, etc....and then they will wish they were kids again!! I was happy as a kid and acted like one and now i totally wish i was a kid again cuz life was so much freakin easier!!!! Wouldn't u agree??? Kids need to learn how to stay kids.

children are growing up faster now adays, they are gettin more mature by the minute, they act like they have seen it all but they forget this saying " what an elderly person can see when sitting down is more than a child would ever see if he climbed to the top of the tallest tree" i agree with you children need to act their age and not older.

They do grow up faster nowadays... I've seen 14 year old girls who look like they're 25.
I didn't have my first cycle until I was seventeen, and my son's little girlfriend just started hers this year. She's EIGHT.
He wants to listen to techno, rap, and hard rock... Nothing like the classics I had when I was a kid.
What a world we live in, eh?

yes i saw it too, I'm 14 and i don't wanna or try to dress like an older person but now a days girls are trying to look like some celebrities and be really skinny and i think its wrong.
~maybe i feel like that because im overweight but i think kids should just be happy with who they are.
i'd rather stay home and watch hannah montana charmed or dance to the jammx kids.

well im 12 and i think most of the reason is pop culture.... now im not blaming it on that but if the see their fav. celeb wearing big sunglasses.... they're gonna want big sunglasses... u see where im going. also their older siblings.... we look up to them if our older sis is going on dates has an ipod..etc. their yonger sib. is gonna wanna do the same.
