I came down with a sore throat 2 days ago. It isn't getting better, but worse. I can't swallow anything. I don't know how to heal it.

I would call your doctor. It may be strep or some type of infection. IN the meantime, you can try gargling with Peroxide.Take about 1 tablespoon of peroxide and gargle with it. It will foam up, so be prepared. But that should help if there is an infection in there. My dr told me to do that one time before.
You could also try Sucrets, or some other sore throat drops to help numb your throat. Theres also sprays that help sore throats. They are temporary, and dont last long in most cases, but they help. Theres a new one, I think its from Vicks, that cools your throat if it feels like its burning.
Avoid acidic foods and drinks, like orange juice, lemons, etc... they can really irritate a sore throat. Try some warm tea, not hot since hot can irritate also. My gram always told me to swallow honey, it helps to coat your throat. It worked for me, but not for my hubby when he had a sore throat. I guess its worth a try though.
I hope this helps, but I would call your doctor... Even if it is sunday, theres always someone on call. They could give you an idea as to what to do. Good luck

Pour regular table salt in warm water. Swirl it around. Then gargle with the salt water. It sounds gross but it is a winning cure for many, many sore throats.

If you run a fever or can not swallow anything, then go to the doctor tomarrow. You might have strep throat. If that is the case then they will do a strep culture and then give you some antibiotics.

Gargle with warm salt water several times a day. It works and works fast. Do it before you go to bed at night and when you wake up in the morning. You can also add gargling with a Mint Mouthwash. Gargling kills bacteria in your mouth.

I hope this helps, I hate a sore throat and I do this when it happens to me.

Also try those Airborne tablets that you drink, I live by those!

I had a sore throat for a week. Last night I read online this remedy and I woke up this morning pain free!! For one thing, I ate many fruits and veggies yesterday, drank lots of water. I took extra Juice Plus (which is fruit and veggies in a capsule!). Then before I went to bed I took the following paste mixture: 2 Tbs of turmeric with enough honey to make it paste-like--ate the whole thing, despite not liking the taste!
