I can honestly say that I haven't heard it used in the media at all this year. It's always "the holidays". I swear, if I hear anyone say "holiday tree" I will lose it.

For those of you who say Xmas takes the Christ out of Christmas, the Greek letter Chi Χ stood for "Christ".

If I use Xmas I am just being a lazy typist...:)

Christmas reminds me of when I was a little girl.
Christmas was times spent with my parents and all of us and our children spending time together.
Christmas was a special time when I still had a family in place.

I will never stop saying "Christmas" and I don't care how politcally incorrect this word would seem. Schools have taken this special time away from the children in order to be politically correct. We are still a Christian country and I don't care if other sects or religions feel we should change this.
It is sad we have come to this stage, really sad.

Well, the Christians came along and took over the pagans and stole their special winter celebration, renaming it "Christmas" so maybe it's about time they get their comeuppance. However, if you really want to get picky, holiday is just a shortened form of Holy Day but you're right, Holiday Tree ranks right up there with "Happy Black and Orange Day!"

It's called Political Correctness.

Christmas should go back to being a Christian holiday because after all, that's what it is.

Other people can enjoy their religious holidays as well.

I don't know why people get upset. If they don't like it, they can ignore it and they can work on Christmas day.

You apparently missed the national news when they were talking about how Wal-mart has gone back to using the word Christmas. They came back to their senses at least. Now if the rest of the stores wouldd just do the same thing!

Christmas just refers the holiday Christians celebrate. But Jews celebrate Hanukkah around the same time. It's easier for businesses to say "Shop here for the holidays." than "Shop here for Christmas and Hanukkah."

I don't agree with it either.

Spastic is a short way of describing someone with spasticity. This is not acceptable in today's world. The person should be described as a person not as an illness.

Ask little children what we celebrate on Christmas, and most of them will not be able to tell you! They'll tell you things like 'we celebrate Santa Clause' or 'we celebrate getting presents'.....It's shocking!
not an answer to your question, but I just needed to get that off my back
