But I could write one for you in the form of a poem, then you must put to music.
I found a duckling named him Oscar yes indeed
He followed me around and did my heed
I fed him well and fed him right
I loved him strong and held him tight
Then as my friend grew I saw I had to set him free
To let him go free as love compelled me
I had not seen my friend in over a year
Thought the local dogs may have gotten him, that was my fear
But then one day I was out and about
I heard a maiden cry a great shout
I saw what I thought I would never see
A duck as large and as beautiful as could be
Well I drew my site and and my aim was good
Down came the 40 lb duck right where I stood
As I look carefully I recognized what I had shot
And now my friend Oscar is on the stove in a pot
Not my usual "down" poem...teee...but could not resist. Hope you like....
