Ok, so I have downloaded some block files on the internet, and when I insert block files into my drawing (Scale of 1/50), the block looks as small as a dot

my teacher said AutoCad understands the scales, and it will automatically enlarge my block file to suit the current scale. The problem is, how do I make that work?

Please note, if I enlarge the block file manually, it will result in incorrect size on the drawing, and it will be hard to estimate other stuff, if u kno what i mean

thank you very very much!!

Autocad will not automatically scale inserted blocks. There is some software that works within autocad that will automatically scale them for you, but if you are using autocad without these additional modules, you will have to scale the blocks yourself by giving them x and y scale factors that represent your drawing scale. In your case, insert them at 50 scale.

One good rule of thumb when doing some kind of mechanical drawing in AutoCAD is to never scale anything. There's no reason to. One "scaling" problem can result if you're drawing in English units, and a downloaded block is drawn in metric, or vice versa. Also start with the lower-left corner of your drawing at 0,0.

I think that you need to test block of dimension. Maybe drawing of scale is too large
