You probably have a cookie on your computer from some other site you were on that was sponsored by a online casino or something similar. They're getting your email address from that cookie(and passing it on to all their subsidies) They send them out by the millions. Clear your cookies. Its a definate scam. Your FREE winnings will cost you double. Or... write them an email just saying "Great! send me the check" nothing else. Then delete their cookie and block them.

It's a total hoax. The only way to win the lottery is to purchase the winning lotto ticket. You'll find that the hoax will ask for money somewhere during the attempt which will never happen on a real lottery. If you were to win the lottery, you will NOT be notified by email of your winning. In reality, the systems hopes that the winner will never know that they've won at which time that money will again be added to the evergrowing pot. Larry Radio Shack 01-9590

Its all a scam!
Dont believe anything you read, and obviously you have odd feelings about it or else you would not be in here writing this question. the thing with lottery is, you have to manually enter them, and you will have a physical ticket to prove it, otherwise there is no lottery. any computer person with experience can make a very convincing looking ticket stub, but if you have the one from the lottery machien its self, there is no disputing that.

Run away, dont walk from those emails. Money isnt everything, but people who think it is get mixe dup in those, then end up paying out the ***, or for life because they answered one of those emails.

So am I getting, but these are all spam and nothing real. The people who send such mails only have a temporary listing, make of a fool of simple people like us and dupe us with our hard earned money by way of service charges or registration charges in foreign currency.Once thet get this amount they vanish in the blue and you can never trace them as no such lotteries that they claim exist. All their addresses are false and even their telephone nos are false.I just overlook these. We amy trust some lotteries sponsored by Government in India may be as true.I feel some International legidlation should be there to check such fradulant operators across the globe.

It's almost certainly fake, unless you play the online national lottery. If you do, don't follow the link from the email - physically goto the site in your browser and login and check. If you didn't play the lottery and you have emails telling you you won, then that should start the alarm bells ringing
