Well, you can always go back-packing in South-east Asia. There are some beautiful sceneries in Malaysia, an ideal place to go shopping, if that's your idea of a perfect vacation.. The prices in Malaysia are really affordable if you're on a tight budget. Coke is about US$0.35 and a Big Mac is only around US$1.35. It's a real modern city and the standard of living here is so much more reasonable than the nonsensical high prices of the things in S'pore. It's double of what you can get in M'sia. I'm sorry, not quite answering your question but I've just came home from the amazing city of Kuala Lumpur & KL's a haven, especially for shopaholics. International brands are abundant and for extremely reasonable prices. Certainly the best place to shop. even in hong kong, where it's so-called the fashion city of asia after tokyo, it does not account to what KL has to offer. Definitely a must, if you plan to visit SEAsia.

a lot have given concepts on the place to flow and why. so, i'lll cover something else so which you could think of roughly. £1300 isn't somewhat some money for 3-4 months. a huge value on your holiday is determining to purchase airfare to South East Asia. in the experience that your airfare is a element of the £1300, you will choose even much less on your travels. i might recommend first to extra or less gauge how plenty it's going to take you to fly into the capital cities of the few South East Asian countries which you're thinking of. Then artwork out how plenty you have left to spend consistent with month, and how plenty is that consistent with day. Then estimate how various that on an popular basis funds you have is mandatory for lodging, and something for nutrition and souvenirs. plenty as i hate to sound pessimistic, at £1300 , i'm guessing, you cant somewhat do plenty.

Make Singapore your key stopover and travel northwards via coaches to KL, Langkawi. Reach Thailand, take trains and backpack vietnam, fly to cambodia..

The best way to do SEA is by foot, coach and trains.. Buses n trains are cheap. And by not flying, you have flexibility of schedule and can stay on in places which attract you.

Travel light and control shopping if you are backpacking. You shd have at least 1 mth if you wanna have a quality experience.
