Winning Vs Participation?

this is a topic we've to debate about,and we need to say that participation is enuff.....dint find anything on google so thut of asking it here

"Those that think that winning is everything may want to stay in a small area where they are the best. They will be the biggest fish in the pond, but never see the ocean."

My motto is: "Don't participate unless you have intentions to Win." However, once you have done your best, just wait for the result. Whatever the result might be, it will be for better, trust me. You do not always know what's best for you...
