You cannot play Xbox 360 games on an original Xbox. A growing number of Xbox games can be played on the Xbox 360; an up to date backwards-compatibility list can be found on this website - http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?type=bc&platform=1029
However, if you currently own an Xbox and are interested in games for the Xbox 360, the cost of upgrading is getting cheaper. Just last week, Amazon offered a limited supply of Xbox 360s for just $100; other retailers may well offer similar bargains (although probably not that cheap!) to make money this holiday season.

No, as the XBOX360 is considerably more powerful than the original, and the games for it where therefore designed to take advantage of this extra gaming power.
But you can play games from the original XBOX or the newer XBOX360

No. This would defeat the purpouse of an Xbobx 360. But, you can play Xbox games on an Xbox 360.

No because then you wouldn't need to buy a 360 and the makers would lose out on money and they don't want to lose out on money.
