So im in this class with a bunch of people (im in grad school) who are all complaining endlessly how they don't understand the material. Some of them even cry over it. They asked me to be their "ambassador" of sorts to talk to the professor and even the chair of the department on their behalf. I did.
Well... lo and behold we all got the midterms back. I thought I was just average - like everyone else who was struggling. WELL - turns out these supposedly "struggling" students were completely manipulative and all got B+s while I got a D. Then, they argued to the professor about why their B+ should be an A- and went on to say they "never got less than an A before". I was shocked
I can'n believe that last week I had the impression we were all in the same boat. They completely lied about their abilities. I was misled to think that I was just like them. They never offered to help me or work together...they just wanted to use me to seem like the "dumb one" to the prof & chair.

They were complaining how hard the course was and how fast it was moving - so I said "on behalf of many students in the class, I think the course is too advanced." Well, they all got good grades and I got a D - so they all think I'm lying.

Not kinda of but surely these people are just *** holes. If they can argue about the kind of grade they had after the fact, only tells me that if they had real personal issues about this course they would have address this professor and the chair themselves. To use you to in such a way is not only mean but cruel.
I was in a similar situation once and my only advice to you is move on. Karma will finally catch up to these jerks. Trust me it always does and while you are on a road to success don't enjoy their misery to publicly.
Just do what you have to do to succeed, work hard believe in yourself. Don't let their behaviour dictate your self worth. It's obvious that these kind of people are not worth the time wasted to even think about them. You will meet allot of miserable people who love nothing better than to humiliate others to feel better about themselves. These people are just bullies and not worth the integrity you obviously showed by acting as the head of a social community who need a voice to express their concerns. You obviously show a great sense of character. You displayed a notability about fighting the fight for all people. It just to bad that you had to be exposed to the garbage aspect of human condition. Don't worry your principals are on the right track. And one day you will reap the rewards.

Look mate no matter where you go there are always going to be people like this who find the weakest link and use them to make themselves look and feel better... so if you were under the impression that you were all in the same boat then yes it would be a betrayal.... the best way to show them is to buckle down work extra hard and get better grades than them and wen and if they come to you for help again just laugh and remind them of this time.. REVENGE is so sweet

You need to have another talk with your prof. and explain the chain of events that led you up to talking to him in the first place.
In the future, don't trust anyone there and if they confront you again tell them you understand the material completely and they will just have to deal with thier own problems.
I could be wrong but I think in grad school it depends on the percentage of each students grade pertains to how each individual is placed in that class, maybe they felt if you did really bad it would move them up.

It 's no longer a betrayal in view which you're no longer likely at the same time. you recognize her indicators extra useful than anyone, so as this is much extra reason to flow on and locate somebody who's extra into you. You deserve extra effective than somebody who will in basic terms positioned a half-hearted attempt into the dating.

How awful! I'm so sorry that this happened to you. what you should do is shove your nose in your books and ignore the students in the class...just stop associating with them. those assholes will get what's coming to them!!! what they do is what they will receive, only it'll hit them back with thrice the force. just be patient. evrybody gets their due, including you, you will get everything you deserve, and all the blessings that come along with it. keep your chin up!
