I have four boys and three went to Iraq..one was married and of course his wife waited but my other two, who had long time girl friends, went thru hell. One was giving his girlfriend money and she got pg by other guy. The other one's girlfriend acted like everything was fine until he got home. I hurt sooooooooooooo bad for them. One is moving on but the other is so hurt.....cause they had dated all thru high school. I stay so MAD! I hate seeing them hurt. So why can't girls stay faithfull when their boyfriends are in the war.......and how come i stay so mad?

I have gone through this with my oldest daughter, it broke my heart to see her moping around the house,crying, not eating, it was just horrendous,but you know what,she took a trip to Europe and came back her old self again, didn't' even mention the guy's name again,so hopefully your son can get over this and move on,it is perfectly normal for you to feel the way you are feeling, after all this is your flesh and blood. As for the girls,well they were probably immature,or just plain uncommitted. Good Luck & God Bless you and your son.

Why does it hurt YOU so much?
That's an "easy" question to answer : because you love your sons, and don't want to see them get hurt.
(I haven't got kids, but I sure hurt when my 18 year old niece went through a breakup, SHE was hurt, I love HER, and so I hurt too!)
As far as the one girlfriend breaking up with him after your son got home : things like that happen in everyone's life, not just that of soldiers.
At least that girlfriend didn't hurt your son while he was still in Iraq! It's sad things went wrong after they dated for so long already, but better not stay together if one of the partners doesn't relly love the other one anymore......that would be hell for both of them, IMHO.

It hurts so badly cause its your kids and you want the best for them obviously Good luck to your boys they have really been through hell and back. Better they find out what kind of gals they had before the wedding than after.

they want love and affection and get it from other guys if there men arent around!
it hurts so much because they are your blood and you dont wanna see them go through pain and sufferin.
