I used to do it, for about 4 years but after hurting my back twice i decided to give it up. not only that but i was sick of being sh*t on, spit at, cussed out, & beat up by angry old people. and it was sad to see that some of them didnt have any family that cared enough to even come visit.

Pretty much there is no amount someone could pay me to wipe a** again! lol

Working with the elderly can be quite rewarding. They are not hard to care for and don't need much attention. When I first came here from Jamaica I worked at a nursing home. I usually rolled them into a closet for a while during my shift so I could take a nap. Threats of bodily harm would keep them quiet. The good thing is no one cares about them so they don't get many visitors who may see the bruises you inflict. Occasionally they ask for their meds or something and get on your nerves but a good swift backhand will calm them down.
