Can you think of ANY objects in space?

How do you suppose they were discovered?

F'r Chrissakes, clearly this is a schoolwork question. DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK! IT'S SUPPOSED TO TEACH YOU, NOT YAHOO ANSWERS VOLUNTEERS, HOW TO DO RESEARCH.

Yeesh!

Galileo discovered the Jovian (Jupiter) Moons by telescope. I think he saw seven moons. However more Jovian moons have been seen.
Herschel discovered Uranus
Neptune was first seen in the 19th Century by telescope.
Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto in 1930 by telescope after mathematical calculations.
So there are 7 + 1 +1 + 1 = 10 Solar system objects first seen by telescope.

I'll get you started: The planet Uranus (Herschel), the Planet Neptune (Lavoisier), the planet, now dwarf planet Pluto (Tombaugh), the phases of Venus (Galileo), the first 4 of the Jovian moons discovered (Galileo), the rings of Saturn (Huygens)

There are actually an endless number. Check out websites such as www.nasa.gov>APOD>archive

Pluto, the rings around saturn and jupiter, the '10th planet'..... Erm.....craters on the moon..... I would have thought most of the planets except maybe Venus and Mars (both visible to naked eye).

thats just off the top of my head- Google?!
