Hotels near West Edmonton Mall?
Leaving aside, for a moment, the Fantasyland Hotel in the West Edmonton Mall, what are the names of some good hotels within easy walking distance of the famous Alberta mall?

Right in the mall is the Fantasyland Hotel - you won't even have to go outside. It provides easy access, discount book for the mall and you can choose a theme room.
The West Edmonton Inn is just across the street from the mall and is owned by the mall. It is a little cheaper than Fanstasyland. Check out: www.westedmontonmall.com/stay
The Sandman Hotel is about 2 minutes away.
You should know that a lot of the hotels and motels along the Q2 and Gateway Blvd (103 & 104 st) have free shufflte service to the mall - no fuss no muss driving the Whitemud Freeway or trying to find a parking spot.
Hope this helps.

There are a few decent hotels within easy walking distance in the summer but way too far in the minus 20's and 30's. Winter can be brutal in Edmonton. Lived there from 1976-1993. Is not uncommon for snow to hit early October and stay until April. If you are going to the Mall, get a room there. Tourism/Alberta will have a web-site with other choices you may have but please be prepared for the cold.

There is a Ramada on Stoney Plain road near the Centennial Plaza and the Howard Johnson at Stoney Plain and 156 st N.

All can be a short bus ride away, I have not lived there in some time but know both are still operatiing and the buses still are turning around and meeting up just behind the Burger King on 156 st below Stoney Plain rd
