Heheheh. I worked with a lady who became precisely like Hyacinth Bucket. There are some like her for particular, in spite of the indisputable fact that the overall public nah! i do not provide a hoot about classification. i'm getting on/dont get on with all sorts of people. classification in simple terms doesnt come into it. Downton Abbey is a era drama depending contained in the 20s at the same time as classification turned right into a lot extra beforehand.

We watch the show. She is middle class trying to be upper class.
You can tell that she does not want to be around the rest of her family when she is around her upper class friends. Her last name is actually pronounced "Bucket" but she pronounces it "Bouquet" because it sounds more upper class. I hope that I helped you out. It is a great show.

Middle class. There doesn't seem to be anything luxurious about the Bucket house - it's just that Hyacinth's belongings and attitudes give the ipression that she's Upper class.

Going by the usual market research categories, A, B, C etc. she is middle class. She and her husband own their own home and he was, before he retired, a senior Local Government Officer. The comedy arises from the fact that she was brought up in a working class home and and thinks she knows how she should behave having become 'upwardly mobile'. However, she takes everything to extremes - which nobody would in real life - and it is from those totally unreal pretensions that the comedy arises.

Just based on how she is portrayed on the show...she is most likely upper working class that maried into middle class. Her sister Violet sems to have married into more upper class and her otehr two sisters are obviously working class, and quite suited to it, as though they were raised in it. You can tell from her attitude, that she knows full well where she is from and doesn't want anyone else to know it and her very efforts speak far more about her origins than what she is trying to be....
Show does have its moments though...

She got wacked on the head once (only an extremely minor injury)
and she said to Richard if I die please tell Onslow to wear a tie to the funeral.
And the paramedic said you certainly are not going to die Mrs Bucket and she said tell god its boquet!!! lol
She likes to give the impression that she is upper class but fails miserably in some of the antics she gets up to.

This at first appears to be yet another extremely banal question, but it's actually quite a clever one.
I would say she's working class, looks and dresses like middle class, but ultimatley wants to be upper class.

money wise, probably at least middle class. her husband has/had (depending which show, he did retire) a fairly decent job and they could afford to send son (sheraton) to university. she herself is well if she were a real person she would be very sad indeed. only some of her family without money shows any class. her and her sister violet (one with room for a pony) don't really have class but have more money. it can be a fun show since she always gets it in the end.

no she isn't, just look at her sisters Rose & Daisy they are anything but upper class. Her sister Violet only lives in a 'big' house because she married a turf accountant. "The bucket woman" is nothing more than a snob.
