It is different. He might get made fun of growing up, but then again, if he has it growing up they may be use to it. There are a lot of different names and I was made fun of by my last name. Kids will always find ways to make fun of other kids. It is what you feel you want to call him. Too me, it isn't that "catchy". Possibly if you said, St. Nick.?

Ummm..that is different...I've never heard of anyone calling their son Saint for a nickname. Everyone's gonna think ur holy or really religious and it is kinda formal. I dunno....its up to you. But just to let u know, if u nickname him saint and when he gets older, he might be teased a lot. maybe....anyways up to u!

Uuuh.... it's interesting... and what does his other parent think? Is it a spin off of his actual name? Or did you just choose to call him Saint as a nick name because your wife put her foot down and wouldn't let you name him something else? If it is the later.. lose it..

I think it's a catch 22. While nicknames are unique to each child, a nickname like Saint might make him have an ego if used improperly.

It's like calling him a word that is always followed by another word -- like "mister" or "miss" or "captain". I've heard kids called these too. It's okay, I guess.

It's just a "nickname" and nicknames NEVER make any sense so go for it! My daughter is blond, blue eyed and VERY fair.... her nickname is "Toasty"????????????? What the heck is that all about???? One day it just came out and stuck! Maybe it was a "Freudian slip"!

Oh, that's lovely. In fact, why don't you also put a sign on his back that says "beat me up"?

You should just go with what you feel suits him better. It doesn't matter what we all think!! If it suits him then call him that! :-) Unique is good!
