If this was really in the Congressional Record, it is not a record of what the US Congress was trying to enact. It was put there by a lame-brained right-wing Congressman who got it from a hysterical right-wing moron group. It was THEIR idea of what the Communist bloc wanted.
Communism is virtually dead in the rest of the world. I'd count only Cuba and North Korea. And they are in no position to coerce us to be Communist.
If I were you I'd worry about us becoming FASCIST. A professor compiled a list of 14 key attributes of Fascism, and when you read that, you may realize that the resemblances are too close for comfort. The loss of the GOP majorities in Congress temporarily put a stop to that. Generalissimo Bush has been declawed. But I fear that a substantial percentage of the American people do not have the Fascism out of their system, although they do not embrace the label, and will support such misrule again in the future.

Communism is an attempt to match Marxist theories on Socialism.
Marx believed that there was social conflict. It was the elitist society determining what was best for the poorer society. Socialism is his CURE for this problem. Socialism suggests equality, and a nation of sharing and community.
Communism, because it just couldn't get rid of the elitists, failed to become the Utopia that Marx envisioned.
Since the US is ruled by an elitist society of wealthy people, namely the politicians, I would say we would not be considered a communist country, because there is really no successful communist party.

staring on the huge inner maximum company earnings and the extensive margins between financial training in the U. S. it particularly is for sure no longer a communistic u . s . a . in any way. Communism is an ideology that seeks to be certain a classless, stateless social company, based upon person-friendly possession of the potential of production. Do you experience that we live in this way of state? Your apathy is extra effective defined yet in a distinctive way.

The goal of our Democrat Party has always been socialism/communism.
Watch for the communist agenda to come out of our new Democrat Congress.
(However, the New Democrats ran as Republicans and anti-communists. Were they telling the truth? Or, were they lying to get elected?)
It will be fun to watch.

Yeah sure,I country built on capitalism and engaged in the demolishing of communisism all over the world. What exactly are Soviet satellites, the Soviet Union disbanded many years ago.It was pressure from the US and their allies that caused this split. There is not a single communist country that is truly a world power anymore. In fact the number of communist countries has been on a decline since the fall of the iron curtain.
It's posible that we will incorporate certain socialist ideas, that's hardly communism.

No way that a nation of greed is ever going to go communist. A blend of socialism and capitalism would be an ideal situation but I don't know if we'll ever get there.

Definitely not Communist--that means government ownership of everything, and this country is moving in the opposite direction, very definitely, very strongly. Actually more public ownership of some assets (SOME assets!) would be good for the U.S.
