Nelson led very much by consensus. Napoleon obviously did not, being a dictator. Can't give you a website, but suggest you read my source on Nelson's style.

Napoleon drove his troops not by personal courage, although there was no doubting that he was brave , his men held him in awe because he was a brilliant general. Nelson lead by example and personal courage and was very fair to his men and did not believe in brutality to control them , and his men loved him and would have followed him to hell and back, he was also a brilliant captain with an armoury of tricks that had never been tried before
