Do you agree that without Tarja, Nightwish is all but finished?

she was the face and the voice, but Tuomas was, and still is, the true soul of the band...
as somebody mentioned above we should wait this few months for the next album to come out and then see how tarjas departure has changed the band

Unlike some other female-fronted bands, Nightwish has (had) more going for it that just Tarja's voice. The core of musicians is a very talented one. But I agree that, as the band's front person, it's a rough hit to have her gone. I haven't heard anything new, since her departure, so I have no opinion on the music yet.

actually, Tuomas and Jukka (my cousin) were, no wait "are", most definitely the heart and soul of NIghtiwish. No offense to her, but she became too obsessed over the fame and money and turned to a prissy diva, and did not fit the band as she once did. She was also trying to steer the band into a different direction, to more operetic, and away from the metal that they originated from.

In all, it is better for the band now that she is gone. Her and Marcelo (her husband) became more seperated from the group of the band.

Now, the boys are looking for a new singer, and are very close, i will disclose no further information. Marco is doing a few songs and working with Tarot as well, and they are well on their way to getting the next demo album done. They have the keys and a few vocals left to do i believe.
