He could have made England follow-on but chose to rest his bowlers. Now he has a back injury and McGrath has a bruised heel. England have lost the 1st test (we did that during the last Ashes too, btw!!), but has Ponting's decision increased our chance of winning the 2nd?

To me Ricky Ponting is argeably the best batsman in world cricket and agree with his decision not to enforce the follow on but showed a real weak side as a captain by batting on on the fourth day. Let's hope that Ashley Giles will justify his position in the side and make a ton tomorrow and win us the first test. Otherwise bring back Monty for the second test and get Steve Harmison to an opticians.

i'll flow with Ponting's determination!! he's prepared to grant danger to the youngsters and that i'm hoping his age isn't wishing him to play T20. T20 has replaced as a teenagers pastime. besides Ponting is prepared to play extra ODI and attempt suits. So he needs to maintain his physique condition good.
