I wouldn't say their directly related but I do have to say what I know about my numerology corresponds to my Astrology.

The lunar-nodes (points of interesection of the Earth's and Moon's orbits) are said to represent the beginings of Karmic cycles. Currently, the North node is in Pisces with the South node in Virgo from 2006-2018. Also, the transit of Saturn though the houses is said to represent Karmic cycles in Vedic Astrology (it's called Vedic because it's based on the Hindu Vedas like Karma is). The transit of Saturn through the first three houses, for example, represents establishing new Karma (which means you have to let go of old Karma).
